New Hope A.M.E. Church is a historic faith community shaped by generations of worship, resilience, service, and spiritual leadership. Our new visual identity honors that foundation while creating a contemporary and welcoming presence for future generations.

The identity was designed with purpose and rooted in legacy. Every element reflects the faith, strength, hope, and perseverance of those who built New Hope and the generations committed to carrying its mission forward.

This is more than a logo. It is a visible expression of who we are, what we believe, and the foundation upon which New Hope continues to stand.

LED BY THE CROSS

The New Hope identity is led by a contemporary interpretation of the Cross, reimagined through a stained-glass-inspired design that honors the church’s architectural and spiritual heritage.

The geometric forms create a modern expression of faith that is meaningful, memorable, and timeless. Strong angles communicate stability and resilience, while the balance of color and open space reflects both strength and grace.

At the center of the identity is the symbol that has guided New Hope from its beginning: the Cross of Jesus Christ.

MEANING WITHIN THE CROSS

Every color within the cross was selected with intention.

Everlasting Green

Green crowns the cross, representing renewal, restoration, continued growth, and the future of the church.

Heritage Black

Black anchors the base, symbolizing strength, resilience, permanence, and the unwavering foundation upon which New Hope was built.

Heritage Gold

Gold represents hope, light, God’s promise, and the faith that has guided generations.

Founders’ Purple

Purple represents faith, dignity, spiritual leadership, and the enduring legacy of those who came before us.

Together, the colors visually express the message at the heart of the identity:

THE CIRCLE OF COMMUNITY

The identity is enclosed within a bold black circle representing unity, eternity, protection, and the unbreakable bond of the New Hope community.

The circle brings every element together as one complete mark, reflecting a church strengthened by shared faith, collective purpose, and generations of service.

Its strong enclosure also reinforces New Hope’s resilience and creates a recognizable symbol designed to endure.

HOPE AT THE CENTER

The typography is intentionally arranged to reinforce the church’s story.

Hope is the dominant element, emphasizing the church’s message and enduring promise.

The word new, set in lowercase above Hope, symbolizes that every new generation is built upon hope.

A.M.E. Church appears as a smaller supporting signature, honoring the church’s denominational identity without competing with the central message.

The lowercase typography creates a contemporary, approachable presence that feels welcoming and inclusive. It allows the cross to remain the strongest focal point while giving the identity a modern and forward-looking spirit.

A RESPONSIVE IDENTITY

The Primary Brand Mark is the preferred expression of the New Hope identity. Its circular format creates a unified and recognizable presence for official communications, church programs, signage, social media, events, sponsorships, apparel, and merchandise.

The Alternate Brand Mark removes the circular enclosure to provide greater flexibility in horizontal and space-constrained applications, including website navigation, email signatures, digital advertising, embroidery, and presentation footers.

Together, the two marks form a responsive identity system that can adapt across modern applications without sacrificing meaning, recognition, or consistency.
