FAITH IN ACTION

Let us rise up and build!

Nehemiah 2:18

52-DAY DAILY DEVOTION

The Book of Nehemiah

The Book of Nehemiah is the ultimate biblical blueprint for structural and spiritual restoration. Just as Nehemiah rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem in exactly 52 days, this 52-day scripture reading plan is designed to prepare the New Hope A.M.E. Church Buckhead Atlanta congregation spiritually and mentally for your audacious journey to restore your landscape, foundation, sanctuary, and roof under the power of the Holy Ghost.

Phase 1: Preparing the Heart (Days 1–10)

Focus: Prayer, fasting, repentance, and aligning with God's vision.

• Day 1: Nehemiah 1:1-4 – Mourning the broken walls and seeking God.

• Day 2: Nehemiah 1:5-7 – Confessing sins and acknowledging God’s covenant.

• Day 3: Nehemiah 1:8-11 – Claiming God’s promises for restoration.

• Day 4: Nehemiah 2:1-3 – Having the courage to speak about the damage.

• Day 5: Nehemiah 2:4-5 – Praying instantly before taking action.

• Day 6: Nehemiah 2:6-8 – Recognizing the good hand of God upon us.

• Day 7: Nehemiah 2:9-10 – Anticipating and ignoring early spiritual opposition.

• Day 8: Nehemiah 2:11-16 – Quietly surveying the landscape and foundations.

• Day 12: Nehemiah 3:3-5 – Repairing the gates and building the foundations.

• Day 13: Nehemiah 3:6-12 – Working side-by-side, including families and leaders.

Building Faith, One Child at a Time

Vacation Bible School gives our children a joyful place to learn about God’s love, explore His Word, and grow together in faith. Through Bible lessons, creative activities, prayer, and fellowship, they discover that God has given each of them a purpose and a special place in His family.

These moments are more than classroom activities. They are building blocks of faith, planting seeds of hope, confidence, compassion, and service that our children will carry throughout their lives.
